Making NCI History with the Announcement of new U15AA Head Coach 2020-21

U15 AA - Jessie Olfert

In September 2020, Jessie Olfert will make NCI history as NCIs first female Head Coach. 

Jessie grew up in BC where she played Okanagan Rockets Midget AAA and U18 Team BC.  She was recruited to play for the University of Alberta Pandas.  Following the conclusion of her 3 year U-Sport playing career, Jessie immediately shifted her passion for the game to coaching. 

For the past three seasons, Jessie has been an Assistant Coach for the EFAC Pandas U18 AAA team.  She has also received excellent mentorship as an Assistant Coach in 2020 Alberta Winter Games, 2019 Alberta Challenge, and the Jr. Pandas Hockey Club Bantam Spring Team.  Jessie has also been instructing University of Alberta Green and Gold Sports Camps for the past three years.

Jessie is a substitute teacher with long term plans to pursue a Masters Degree in Coaching.  She is positive, detailed, organized and very eager to use her hockey knowledge and experience to help her NCI U15AA athletes develop and advance to the next level.

Hello LMHA and NCI family and friends, 

I am very excited to be joining the LMHA and NCI U15AA team. The past 3 seasons I have worked as an assistant coach for the EFAC U18 AAA team, as well I have participated at the Alberta Challenge (2019) and Alberta Winter Games (2020) as an assistant coach. I grew up in Penticton BC, and moved to Edmonton in 2014 to study and play hockey at the University of Alberta, where I received my Bachelor in Education in 2019. I played 3 seasons as a defenseman for the U of A Pandas, winning Nationals in my last season (2017). I am looking forward to meeting all the players and getting out on the ice!
