NCI Assistant Coach Announcement

North Central Impact is proud to announce the following Assistant Coaches in the 2018-19 season:


Hayley Runnalls - Midget Elite

Hayley is a passionate hockey coach and former collegiate player with experience in coaching both male and female athletes from 4-72 years old.  Hayley has been building her coaching resume over the past few years through a variety of initiatives including instructing at the Oilers Hockey School and in Hockey Alberta initiatives such as Alberta Winter Games and the Future Leaders program.  Her long term career plans include the completion of her Bachelor of Education degree. 

Hayley is excited to become a person of positive influence on the next generation of female hockey players. She is looking forward to developing strong work ethic in her NCI athletes with an emphasis on the team as a whole.  Developing a strong team culture is very important to Hayley.  In addition to her on-ice and on-bench expertise, Hayley also brings experience as a fitness instructor and as a billeted athlete to her team.


Dayna Janzen - Midget Elite 


Dayna joined the NCI organization part way through the 2017-18 season as an Assistant Coach on the NCI Bantam Elite team.  Immediately, Dayna had a positive impact on her female athletes.  Dayna is a full time teacher in New Sarepta with an extensive background in hockey as an athlete and as a coach.

As a player, Dayna played on high performance teams in Alberta, played in the CIS with University of Lethbridge Pronghorns, and also played in the Alberta Junior Female Hockey league before she traveled overseas to play in the European Women's Hockey League in Austria. Following her playing career, Dayna transferred her hockey passion to coaching.  She has coached in Hockey Alberta's High Performance programs such as U16 and Alberta Winter Games and in 2016-17, she was an Assistant Coach for the Esso Cup Championship team -St. Albert Midget AAA Slash. 

Dayna is very happy to be returning to the NCI organization with the Midget team, where she will have the staff support to accommodate her commitment to coaching school sports. 


Jenae Culp - Bantam Elite

Jenae is NCI's homegrown coach.  Jenae began her hockey playing career in Leduc Minor Hockey Association before she moved on to high performance teams.  Jenae played 5 years of CIS hockey with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns where she was named a CIS Academic All Canadian - an exceptional student-athlete who demonstrated balance of academic and athletic demands to achieve a high level of success.

Last year, Jenae was a very valuable member of the NCI Midget Elite Coaching Staff.  As an NCI Assistant Coach, she demonstrated an ability earn the respect and trust of her athletes.  She used her knowledge and background in female hockey to give guidance in the skills and systems needed for development and success.   In addition to her time with NCI, Jenae was also the Assistant Coach in the Junior Pandas Female Spring Hockey Program in Camrose this year.  

Jenae is looking forward to creating a positive impact on the athletes of NCI's Bantam Elite team this year. 


Leduc Minor Hockey Association is very proud to include these upstanding young women among its coaching staff.
